Timme respects your privacy. We don't collect, store, or share your personal information. All your workout data stays on your device. We don't use analytics, tracking, or advertising. We use RevenueCat for subscription management, which collects anonymous device identifiers and purchase history solely for this purpose.

Introduction

Timme ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the Timme mobile application (the "App").

Information We Don't Collect

Timme is designed with privacy in mind. We do not:

Collect personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
Track your location
Use analytics or tracking tools
Collect usage statistics or behavioral data
Share data with third parties
Serve advertisements
Require account creation or login

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following information locally on your device only:

Workout History: Records of your completed workouts, including date, duration, type, and configuration
Custom Workouts: Your saved custom workout configurations
App Preferences: Settings such as language, theme (light/dark mode), audio preferences, and haptic feedback settings
Incomplete Workouts: Temporary data about workouts in progress

This data is stored using your device's local storage (AsyncStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Apple Watch Sync (iOS Only)

If you use the Apple Watch companion app, workout data is synchronized between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This synchronization:

Occurs only between your paired devices
Uses Apple's secure device-to-device communication
Does not involve our servers or any third party
Is entirely under your control and Apple's privacy policies

Audio and Voice Features

The App uses text-to-speech functionality to provide voice announcements during workouts (e.g., "Work," "Rest," countdown timers). This feature:

Uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine
Processes announcements locally on your device
Does not record, transmit, or store any audio
Respects your selected language preference

Background Audio

On iOS, the App uses silent audio playback to maintain timer functionality when running in the background. This is a technical requirement and does not involve recording or transmitting any audio.

Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

Notifications (Optional): To send workout phase reminders and timer updates when the app is in the background
Audio Playback: To play workout sounds (beeps, tones) and voice announcements

You can manage these permissions in your device settings at any time.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:

Delete Workout History: Use the "Delete All History" option in the App's History screen
Delete All Data: Uninstall the App to permanently remove all associated data from your device

Third-Party Services

The App is built using the following technologies:

Expo: A React Native development framework
React Native: A mobile app framework
RevenueCat: Subscription management service (for premium features)

Expo and React Native do not collect personal data on our behalf.

Subscription Management (RevenueCat)

We use RevenueCat to manage premium subscriptions. RevenueCat collects:

Anonymous Device Identifiers: Used to identify your device for subscription management
Purchase History: Records of your subscription purchases (linked to your Apple ID)

This data is used solely for subscription management. No personal data is shared with third parties for advertising purposes. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. Since we don't collect any personal information, the App is suitable for all ages.

International Users

The App can be used worldwide. All data remains on your device regardless of your location. No data is transferred internationally.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
